Bike trails in Western Pennnsylvania

  • The Allegheny Trail Alliance is a unique group of seven trail organizations who have joined together to bring this trail to completion. Each trail group is as different as the section of trail its members are building. Click on these links or on any logo on the maps for information about each trail organization.   • Five Star Trail is affiliated with the Regional Trail Council. Currently their trail runs from Youngwood to Greensburg, 15 miles north of Connellsville. Other information at Treasures Along the Rail
  • The Sheepskin Trail will connect with the Yough River Trail south of Connellsville and eventually meet the Caperton Trail at the PA/WV state line.
  • Ghost Town Trail, about 15 miles north of Johnstown
  • Butler - Freeport Community Trail, about 40 minutes north-east of Pittsburgh
  • The Allegheny Valley Land Trust is developing the 52-mile Armstrong Trail along the Allegheny River in Armstrong County.
